The Wider Caribbean Sea Turtle Conservation Network (WIDECAST) embraces sea turtle research and conservation projects in more than 40 nations. Each project is locally managed by an incredibly dedicated staff – including biologists, students, interns and volunteers all working together to conserve sea turtles, protect habitat, and involve coastal communities.
With a very small coordinating staff and virtually no overhead (all Country Coordinators participate in the network as volunteers), donating to WIDECAST provides one of the best values for your conservation dollar!
Donations can be pledged to the General Fund, or allocated specifically to the local project of your choice. Donations of cash, stocks, equipment, and services are all welcome. WIDECAST is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization registered in the USA, and all US donations are tax deductible. Contact the office of the Executive Director at keckert@widecast.org for more information.
Please visit our National Projects and Contacts page to explore the Wish Lists associated with conservation efforts at the local level. You may have just what someone is looking for!
Finally, purchasing unique products crafted by WIDECAST partners provides much-needed income to coastal communities involved in sea turtle conservation, and volunteering your time can also make an invaluable contribution to local efforts at protecting sea turtles and their young.
We need you! We hope you’ll consider becoming a friend and supporter of our collective efforts to ensure the survival of Caribbean sea turtles. If you have any questions, please contact us. Thank you!
